Dr. Ahmad Jaber Legacy Endowment Fund
There are great people in the world who make significant impacts to the betterment of their communities. And then there’s Dr. Ahmad Jaber, whose legendary presence will be dearly missed.
From his humble beginnings as an orphan boy in a small town in the West Bank of Palestine where he helped his mother sell produce door to door, he found strength in his family and faith in the Qur'an that would guide his life towards helping the underserved. In spite of the impossible odds, he earned his way to a prestigious scholarship that launched his career as an OBGYN in Brooklyn, where he was able to serve his community as a healthcare provider.
Still, his compassion and penchant for helping others compelled him to do even more. He served on the boards of multiple mosques in Brooklyn and built schools and safe places while uniting people of different faiths, races, and cultures through dialogue and respect. He founded a social services organization and imbued it with purpose and the energy to thrive. He mentored anyone who asked and gave of his time and knowledge with abandon; always eager to talk, to share, to listen. He fought for equality and justice, for the poor and the vulnerable. He fought cancer, too. Fearlessly. Until there was no longer a need to fight.
In order to best honor his memory and continue his charitable works, we, his family, have established the Dr. Ahmad Jaber Legacy Endowment Fund. This will serve as a permanent tribute to all he has done and extend his core values to future generations. In conjunction with Yaqeen Institute, a forward-thinking organization that shares his passion to educate individuals, equip institutions, and uplift communities around religion, leadership, and social justice, this fund will ensure the foundational seeds he planted continue to flourish.
A portion of all donations will be dedicated to the Brooklyn Community, where he spent his life and dedicated most of his work. Whether you have been personally touched by his generosity in the past, or just support the same ideals for making the world a better place, we ask that you contribute to this fund and pray for its continued success.
